Our Story
Backyard Safari began in 2010, when husband-and-wife team Clyde and Sherri Hutchison started the company in Covington, Georgia. They created a line of seasonings alongside their Grow Gardens, all rooted in a simple “Eat – Grow – Play” philosophy: good food, time outdoors, and the people you share them with.
In 2022, Clyde and Sherri decided to focus on Grow Gardens. We, Brent and Nina Hutchison, loved the seasonings too much to see them retired, so we took over the kitchen. We added “Spice Co” to the name so longtime customers would know they’re getting the same recipes from the same family, just in a new chapter.
Not much has changed about what we believe. We love cooking for friends and family, and our favorite days are spent out in the yard with our pups. We hope our seasonings bring a little of that same warmth to your table.
